    The Pine Haven Volunteer Fire department has been on the lookout for an affordable “pumper” or fire truck that can run a reserve for their big red Engine 1. Currently, the department owns one pumper; the grass land fire trucks are not recognized as pump trucks capable of fighting a structure fire.     William Edward Altaffer, known to his family and friends as “Bill”, was born on July 29, 1941 to James and Larena (Blake) Altaffer in Gillette, Wyoming. He married his favorite wife, Norma on May 22, 1971. He passed away August 15, 2019, in Sundance, Wyoming, after a long battle with several forms of cancer.     Former Crook County resident Francis Shane Brislawn, 75, of North Pole, Alaska, died August 21, 2017, after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). Shane was born July 8, 1942 in the Sundance hospital to Robert E. “Bob” Brislawn and wife Genevieve Irwin Brislawn. The youngest of five children, he grew up on the family’s Cayuse Ranch north of Oshoto, where he was active in 4-H.
