Pine Haven's Etched in Time Park has been the center of a few concerns for the last few years that involved a miscommunication between the town's long-lived beautification committee and the last couple of councils. We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Daniel "Danny" Ray Jones on June 19, 2024, at the age of 71 at The Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center, Gillette, Wyoming, from complications of COPD. He was born on May 31, 1953. Danny was the beloved son of Raymond Claude Jones and Janie Sue (Alford) Jones. Danny was married to his loving wife, Donna Kay (Hall) Jones, on March 21, 1977, in Mt. Graveside rites for Kendall Claar will be at 3:30 p.m. on July 13, 2024 at the Moorcroft Cemetery. Pastor Monte Reichenberg will preside over the short service. Kendall passed away on October 29, 2023 in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was cremated and asked to be buried with his mother, Evelyn Claar. Local woman sentenced for role in state park death CHEYENNE (WNE) — In connection with the death of a man in Curt Gowdy State Park, Gizelle Kellum has pleaded no contest to accessory after the fact as a relative. This misdemeanor is punishable by up to six months in prison and/or a $750 fine. Judge Steven Sharpe sentenced Kellum to 180 days with credit for 175 days of time served.
