Grizzly relocated to Sunlight area CODY (WNE) – After consultation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department captured and relocated an adult male grizzly bear on May 4. According to a G&F news release, the bear was captured for killing cattle on private land and relocated to the Sunlight creek drainage approximately 30 miles from the northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Trudy is a lifetime resident of Crook County and many knew her during her 36 years with Sundance State Bank, from which she retired almost five years ago. This last Friday, the Moorcroft Wolves met the Sundance Bulldogs on the bulldogs’ track and the Wolves did a great job. The girls team bettered their qualifying time by four seconds in the medley relay and that’s exactly what we want to do going into the last couple weeks. The girls had a great day and against some great competition. They took home first in the medley, 100m hurdles, 1600m, 3200m; second in the 300m hurdles; and third in the 200m and the 400m. On Friday, the Moorcroft Wolves Golf Team traveled to Lusk. It was only our third tournament of the season after getting weathered out of the rest of them. It was a windy day, but good to be able to get out on the golf course. Cade Williams and Zane Linder shared low individual scores, good for seventh/eighth place by both shooting a 99. Dane Connally was tenth with a score of 103 and Cole Stripp finished 14th with a score of 109. Black Hills National Forest campgrounds are scheduled to open Friday, May 13 and seasonal gates will all be open Monday, May 16, 2022. The Forest offers 30 campgrounds with more than 680 individual sites.
