    WYDOT’s TAP grant facilitator Sarah Ellis visited the Pine Haven Council via telephone at last Tuesday night’s meeting to discuss funding for the continuation of the bike/walking path from the existing concrete that meets East Waters Drive to eventually loop along Pendleton and through Boe Drive before returning to Waters.     Gary Gene Gabriel, 80, of Moorcroft, WY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at his home. He was born to George and Hilda (Reichert) Gabriel on June 7, 1938 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. From the time he was a young boy working on his family farm, he had a strong work ethic and took his hard-working attitude far.     Because of the continued generous support of the people throughout this county, during the month of March the pantry aided more than 138 persons. This included 11 new clients, 45 under the age of 18 and 31 over the age of 60. We shared food with the Blessings programs in Sundance, Moorcroft and Hulett, which collectively serve 150 youth under the age of 18.     A five-mile section of I-90 east of Moorcroft is scheduled to be rehabilitated utilizing the Cold-in-Place (CIR) recycling technique, beginning in the next few weeks. Preliminary preparations of the interstate between mile marker 160 and 155 have begun. Once the cross-overs at either end of the job are in place, traffic will be switched to one-lane.     On Friday, April 5, the Moorcroft Wolves track team crossed state lines to compete in the Spearfish Queen City Classic Track Meet. It was an ideal day for this fast-paced meet and our Wolves represented well. Grayson Osmon placed ninth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.55 seconds, beating out almost 50 other runners.     On April 9, police were contacted in reference to an unattended vehicle rolling backwards down S. Yellowstone Avenue. Officer arrived and observed a vehicle improperly parked on the street and the person who reported the vehicle rolling met with the officer and confirmed it was the correct vehicle.
