The Sundance Kids Trap Team, a part of the Wyoming Clay Target League, enjoyed the mild summer-like fall days to complete their short, five-week season. Shooters shot each week, starting in September and ending in October. Final scores and season end results were tallied and released on November 4. The official tallies appear to show a record-breaking turnout for Crook County at the general election, with a total of 4368 ballots cast. This outstripped the 4143 ballots cast during the last presidential election in 2020, which then-County Clerk Linda Fritz said at the time was the most she’d seen in her 22 years of working for the county. POWELL —- A young Michigan man who allegedly poached nine mule deer in Cody over the summer is now facing more legal trouble, as investigators say they’ve also tied him to the killing of a cow last year. Twenty-year-old Josh Wielhouwer was already facing 18 misdemeanor counts in connection with deer that were killed and left to waste in Cody in August and early September.
