The roof of the Moorcroft Town Center (MTC) was badly damaged in the hail storms last summer and, while other buildings throughout town were repaired by insurance, the MTC is still waiting for damage repair. After an LGLP paid inspector checked the damage of the flat roofed MTC building, they subsequently reported little damage and offered minimal consideration for that. Joey Kanode has announced his resignation from the Crook County Medical Services (CCMSD) Board of Trustees and called for his fellow board members to do the same. In his resignation letter, Kanode says, “It is with a heavy heart that I would like to announce my resignation from the Crook County Hospital Board of Trustees. Saturday morning showed up bright and beautiful with temperatures in the mid 40s and a couple feet of ice on Keyhole Reservoir, a perfect start to the fourth annual Family Fishing day. Set up began at 7 a.m. and within the first hour numerous fishing huts and holes were in place. Kimberly Anne (Sedlacek) Jones was born in Parkston, South Dakota, on August 22, 1968, to Richard and Karen (Hunhoff) Sedlacek. Kimberly joined one brother, Daniel, and her two sisters Christy and Cindy were born soon after. Kim passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 23, 2020, after being diagnosed with ALS just six months earlier. Kim grew up on a farm and attended elementary school in Tripp, South Dakota. Man dies after jumping from car SHERIDAN (WNE) — A Texas resident led Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers on a pursuit before jumping from a moving vehicle Feb. 21. The pursuit started near Sheridan on Interstate 90. WHP troopers were notified of a suspected drunk driver near Sheridan. Troopers were able to locate a vehicle matching the description of the alleged drunk driver speeding 97 mph in a 75 mph-posted speed zone. The Wolves wrestling team wrestled in the 2A East regional tournament this past Saturday in Lingle. There they competed against ten other teams from the east to fight their way to a first place finish. They had eight in the finals and six individual championships. The Crook County School District will soon begin the selection process for a new principal at Moorcroft High School, according to Superintendent Mark Broderson. At last week’s meeting of the Board of Trustees, the board did not renew the contract of Principal Becky Waters.
