Saturday afternoon saw the 15th annual Harvest Feastival, sponsored by the Moorcroft Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC), celebrated at the MTC with 250-275 guests partaking. The MHS National Honor Society served 19 different soups to guests and judges throughout the evening. The Moorcroft Unit 25 of the American Legion Auxiliary hosted a carry-in honoring veterans at the MTC cafeteria Friday night with ham, turkey, deviled eggs, rolls, potatoes and many other sides and delicious desserts. Funeral service for Tom F. Davis, 85, of Moorcroft, Wyoming, will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church in Moorcroft, with Voy Cox officiating. Public Works Director Sunny Schell spoke to the Pine Haven council at last Tuesday’s meeting regarding the dumping of garbage at the town maintenance shop. For a second year, the Moorcroft Senior Center, in cooperation with Donna's Diner, has celebrated Veterans Day with free breakfasts for the warriors, past and present. Seventeen vets and their guests enjoyed a warm morning meal and time among others who share many memories. Army veteran Arnie Altaffer and wife Penny enjoyed the breakfast. Tuesday, November 8, the Lady Wolves took on the Sundance Lady Bulldogs in a district junior high matchup at home. The games started with a half game for the sixth graders and the team was victorious in this game, defeating the Bulldogs 14-8. Following this match-up, the seventh grade Wolves fought to defeat the bulldogs, but fell short, losing by only one point. The score was 12-13.
