    Friday morning was the first real taste of winter in Crook County and along with the wind, rain and snow came risks for travelers on icy roads. This is what happened to a 72-year-old Osage man, driving a 2014 Nisson Frontier westbound on US Highway 16 during the early morning hours.     Many members of the Pine Haven Over the Hill Gang senior group worked together to bring local veterans a celebratory recognition of their contribution to this country and the people who live here Saturday.     David (Dave) Allen Reynolds passed away peacefully in his sleep November 3, 2022. Dave was born November 25, 1930, in Hemingford, Nebraska to Albert Charles (Charlie) and Grace (Watson) Reynolds. The family moved to Moorcroft, Wyoming when Dave was seven years old. His parents leased ranches around the area, eventually buying what became the Circle C Ranch north of Moorcroft.     Karey Hedlund of Moorcroft has accepted a plea deal related to the 16 separate counts of child abuse and one of aggravated assault and battery with which she was originally charged. Hedlund’s alleged victims accuse her of years of mental and physical abuse. According to reports from a Crook County Sheriff’s Office deputy, an investigation was launched at the beginning of June, 2021 in response to a report of “abusive and neglectful behavior”.
