A North Dakota man led law enforcement on an extended high speed chase on Sunday, reaching speeds well over 100 mph. The chase began when the suspect refused to exit his vehicle and ended with the discovery of a stash of marijuana that he appears to have hidden in some undergrowth. Riverton man extradited in 36-year-old murder RIVERTON (WNE) — A Riverton man indicted Sept. 23 on first-degree murder charges has been extradited to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he pleaded “not guilty” Dec. 12. The murder case is 36 years old. Willie C. The Wolves wrestling team traveled to Hettinger, ND this past weekend to compete along with 17 other teams in the 2020 Hettinger Classic Tournament. There, they finished with two champions, four runners up, many placers and a third place finish as a team. Individual results were: Champions - 145 Parker Seeley and 182 Rowdy Pfeil, who pinned every opponent he wrestled. Both champions went 7-0 for the tournament and accomplished high individual stats. On Saturday, the Lady Wolves returned to action following the Christmas break with a game versus the Hulett Red Devils. The Junior Varsity girls got the afternoon started on a good note with a 27-8 victory. Coach Arlie Hulm commented that he thought the girls came out ready to play. It was an exciting game to get 2020 started! We should have known it was going to be a close finish for this game as it was neck and neck the entire way. The Wolves and Red Devils kept the game close with a 14 to 14 score at the end of quarter one. In the second quarter, the Wolves would edge out the Red Devils, 26 to 22.
