Moorcroft’s Annual Treat Street is Sat., Oct. 26 at the Moorcroft Town Center 6-7:30 p.m. Stop in for a haunted house, games, not-so-spooky house and cakewalk. Stop in and see our new shelving upstairs! With the new shelving installed we have rearranged our adult fiction section and have incorporated the western books into the general fiction section. Westerns are labeled to make them easy to find. Puzzle exchange coming soon! With the western books moved into the other room we now have empty shelf space that we plan to utilize for a puzzle exchange. This is a work in progress so more information to come. Big upgrade in progress! We are very excited to be getting new shelving for the back wall in the Adult Fiction area of the library. Fiction authors M-S are a little spread out so please feel free to ask library staff for assistance finding the book(s) you are looking for. We are bringing back our Homecoming craft! Due to the popularity of this craft in 2023, we have added extra times along with reservation only spots. Our Friends of the Library had a successful Crook County Junkin’ with lots of extra traffic at the library for the Book Sale, Bake Sale and Pulled Pork Lunch. All proceeds from the sales will be used for the benefit of the library patrons and our community. The Friends of the Library recently purchased a new shelf for our Youth Services area. Stop by the library to see the new garden boxes out front! These came from the community garden as it is being removed to make room for the new Food Pantry. The amazing volunteers who have worked to keep the garden going over the years provided their time and effort to move the boxes along with plants, decor and supplies to the library.
