  • Lady Wolves step into tough competition

    Katie Williams|Oct 27, 2022

The Wolves faced some tough competition over the weekend, but still stepped up and competed. First, we played #1 in our conference, Buffalo, with the scores of Buffalo 3 Moorcroft 1 (22-25, 25-23, 27-25, 25-21). I was impressed with our defense this game; we had some great hustle plays and worked hard with our blocking and our back row. Next, we saw the #1 team in the south, Wheatland, with a match just about as close as it gets, Wheatland 3 Moorcroft 2 (23-25, 25-16, 25-13, 23-25, 18-16). We...

  • Wolves fight to block out breast cancer

    Katie Williams|Oct 20, 2022

Our annual Block Out Breast Cancer fundraiser was a success. We faced Newcastle at home and raised money for the breast cancer foundation by raising money for each block we received, as well as having a silent auction. We had eight blocks total for the day. We battled against Newcastle at home with the scores of Newcastle 3 Moorcroft 1 – 25-20, 25-21, 19-25, 25-19. We had great moments and were hustling and quick on defense, but we didn't seem to stay consistent at the net in the end; this is wh...

Against Hulett, we lost, Hulett 3 Moorcroft 1 (25-19, 25-18, 20-25, 25-19). We didn’t have our best night and Hulett took advantage of this by staying consistent throughout the match. They have a scrappy team who showed up and played very well. The next day, we were on the road again to Sundance and rebounded quickly by sweeping Sundance with the win in three sets, Moorcroft 3 Sundance 0 (25-22, 27-25, 25-18). We were h...

The Wolves first faced #1 in 2A Big Horn, sweeping them in three sets, Moorcroft 3 Big Horn 0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-22). As a team, we were ready to play Big Horn again this season. It was our goal to step it up this time around, keep our offense fast and stay scrappy on defense and that is exactly what we did....
