On September 25 at approximately 8:32 p.m., the Moorcroft Police Department was dispatched to the 400 block of North Yellowstone for a report of a woman heard screaming and then two shots fired. Officers arrived on scene within two minutes and did not locate anyone in the immediate area. Additional officers and deputies from the Crook County Sheriff’s Office as well as troopers from the Wyoming Highway Patrol were called in and a perimeter was secured.
