Exciting news! The key fob system is installed at the MTC; we are excited that we can now expand our services. We need to know what the community’s needs are.
Please come to the MTC planning commission work shop on Tuesday, February 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the GED room. Tracy Jones will facilitate the meeting. There is a proposal sheet at the town hall for you to give your ideas and we are open to any suggestion.
We are looking forward to more gym and work out time available and plans will be made to have a monthly fee. Watch for more information.
If anyone has weight equipment i.e. bench, barbells, lateral pull down machine, cable crossover, adjustable flat benches or a Smith machine gathering dust at home, we would love a donation or a reasonable price.
Events planned for the MTC Library through April 7 are as follows.
On Monday, February 26, OPR will host a suicide prevention training program from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 3, Montey Crummer will be in concert starting at 7 p.m.
Friday, March 16, The “Cokeville Miracle” will be shown for Movie Night with a special question and answer segment afterward from Fonz Haskill’s father. He was the lead forensic investigator of the real life case.
Friday, March 30, Community Good Friday celebration with “The Living Last Supper” at 7 p.m.
Saturday, April 7, Crook County Deputy Sheriff and nationally certified trainer Ed Robinson will have an ALICE training class for worshipping communities with a potluck at noon and training to follow.
These are all being brought to our community and outlying area by the Moorcroft Interfaith Committee, whose purpose is to bring our community together and to strengthen, protect and support the community. “Let’s talk to one another, not about on another.”
The Starfish 2nd hand Store is open on Saturday from 9 to noon. We will gladly take your gently used clean clothes and household items.
Open Gym is Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. Monday night at 6:30 is Basketball and Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Volleyball.
Candace Nelson does a HIIT workout class on Mondays and Wednesdays. You can also walk or use the equipment on the stage for $2.
The cost to rent a room, gymnasium, cafeteria or library is very reasonable after the council lowered the rates. Stop at town hall to get the rates and information.
The EWC GED classes are held on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. in Room 158 on the east end of the building, use the Starfish entrance.
