MTC and Rec Update

By Nancy Feehan

The Starfish 2nd Hand Store continues to be open on Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. We are continuing the sale on clothing; our goal is to get the winter clothes out the door so we can begin stocking the summer items.

If you can volunteer a couple of hours on Saturday or a different day, please let us know, you may call Nancy at 307-660-7428 or stop and talk with any of the MTC volunteers. We would like to make the switch the first part of May.

The MTC has installed the key fob door system so we can have monthly rates for the use of the gymnasium and workout equipment on the stage. The fob is available for a monthly fee, which opens the door from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.

We have received a couple of generous donations of exercise equipment; still, we are in need of weight equipment, i.e. bench, weights, barbells, Lateral pull down machine, cable crossover, adjustable flat benches or a Smith machine. If you have any of these items gathering dust at home, we would appreciate a donation or a reasonable price.

The gymnasium has been rented for a graduation reception on May 19; the library and cafeteria are still available on that date, though. The library will host a free class called “Bugging Out” on Thursday, May 10at 7 p.m. The information provided by this class will show you how to prepare a 72-hour backpack in the event that a disaster would cause you to evacuate your home.

Don’t forget the MTC for renting a room for birthdays, reunions, receptions, etc. We have very reasonable prices. Please stop at town hall for more information.
