Labor Day parade

Kyleah Palmer, Rodeo Princess, leads the parade.

 

The annual Pine Haven Days Parade was well attended last Saturday, but shorter than in previous years. Those who participated still distributed their best smiles, candy and cars.

The following are the winners of the parade competition categories.

For cars, in first place was Tyler Lounsberry with his 1954 Chevy; second place went to Terry Lounsberry with a 1970 Monte Carlo

and R Place Bar and Grill won third place with a 1931 Ford pickup driven by TJ Gideon.

 

For kids, first place was easily taken by the hunting party (golf cart) with Tove Boyer, Tabin Boyer, Adam Cuthrell and JC Anderson; second place was the picnic tractor driven by Dale Moebower; and Peewee Princess Hadlee Krell and Junior Princess Tess Sanderson tied for third.

In the general category, first place went to Rodeo Queens Princess

Kyleah Palmer, second place to Healing Hearts and third place to Terry Mitchell, a concerned voter.

 

The North East Wyoming Walleye Association (NEWWA) sponsored the fish fry, which helps pay for many of the community programs for youths on the lake, enjoyed a large crowd who were hungry and ready to play and bid at the auction after the parade. The lunch was a casual affair spotted with laughter and children, feeding more than 200 guests.
