“Kidnapped” daughter faces charges

By Grace Moore

Moorcroft resident Ron Dahl faced a terrifying situation earlier in the month when a man called him to claim that he had Dahl’s daughter and demanded money for her safe return.

Dahl immediately contacted the Moorcroft Police Department to report the kidnapping. Officer Jory Tadlock, who was in the office at the time of Dahl’s visit, confirmed the call and contacted the Casper Police Department, where the call originated.

Moorcroft Chief of Police Doug “Red” Lundborg explained that, following a short investigation, the Casper department was able to locate the young woman. They suspect she was in collusion with the male involved in the case. Both were arrested.
